St Joseph High School Great Leaders in Education. David J Klein.jpg

President:

David J. Klein

At St Joseph High School, young men and women make the most of their high school experience as they strive to find their life’s mission among supportive friends, faculty and coaches. When we reflect on the value of a co-ed, faith-based, college prep education in this new age of acceleration, we are proud of our graduates and the ethical greenhouse out of which they bloom. Meaningful conversations between generations ensure that our virtues and values are fit for the future. Our conversations drive new academic initiatives and ensure instructional rigor is met with educational support.

So much more than typical college prep, St Joes prepares students to meet the challenges of the collegiate world and beyond through an experiential education that starts with aspirational academics and grows between the textbooks and the classrooms; between students and faculty mentors; between the locker room and the field; between faith, friendships, and family. The Health and Wellness Center has energized nutrition, fitness and meditation habits now, and for life. Our campus Boardwalk did more than invite students into nature; our students have improved those neglected wetlands. The student-led retreats and our Pizza and Prayer initiatives have made Faith an action verb. Nearly eight hundred students contributed over 36,000 hours of service work last year.

There is a vitality here—strengthened by a community of voices proposing new ideas and directions—that is exponentially increasing our readiness for the future coming at us. Our thriving community pivots to meet any unexpected challenge with confidence and enthusiastic determination. Where young people engage in genuine conversations with caring teachers, the world is a better, brighter place. Here, our SJ Cadets are on a mission for more.
